Lineage

Every Player+ v3 artifact starts with this file, in the shape every PKAI V3 artifact carries. It says what the artifact is, what it grows from, where it came from, and where to pull the next version from. An agent reads the block; a person reads the notes under it. If you take this artifact and make your own, copy this file first, set name, version and grows_from to your own, and move this artifact's entry to the top of lineage, keeping at least three generations below you.

Status: the start of the line, built 2026-09-22 → 23 from the draft AURELLIØN heard aloud at the Player+ Jam of 2026-09-22 (not yet reviewed or approved), with Freya's review (A–E) applied and his rulings kept. Two fields wait on rulings and are marked.

Reading the block

  • grows_from is the artifact this one was shaped from. The kit says sits_on; Pete has not yet ruled between grows_from and builds_on for a line that runs beside the kit rather than on top of it. Until he does, this file uses grows_from and says so.
  • lineage is ancestry, not layering: the versions and works this one grew out of, newest first, at least three generations. Each entry says who made it and whether we know that because we read it or heard it, with the date. Lineage is for the line; provenance (heard or read) is for the source inside it (Pete, aloud, 2026-09-22 12:37 PT).
  • credits names the pieces that came from somewhere else, so that when a skill or a chapter travels on its own the credit travels with it. Names stand here only where the person has said yes to being named.
  • pull_from is where the next Player+ release will be. Nothing is ever pushed into a house. A house reads the new release's changes, decides with its person what to take, and says what it valued and where it diverged and did better.
  • offered_at is the step on the stairs where this is offered. The stairs, as the kit names them: watch someone use an agent → read about it → try a kit, or buy one → an agent on your own machine → chat with it safely → real work. The Game's door is lower than the agent's.
  • thanks_to is where thanks go if you want to send them. It is a practice, never a debt.

pkai-starter-kit v3.0.0 (2026-09-22) gave the shapes: the lineage block, skills that travel alone with their own licence and lineage, a bookshelf of standalone chapters, and pull-not-push. Peter Kaminski and his house.

Player+ Modules v0.3 (2026-09-18) are twenty modules, ten-minute lessons for playing The Great Game with an agent or a notebook, with one Lexicon (lesson · module · journey · just in time · skill · capability · capacity · belt · shu-ha-ri, one meaning each).
