The Reweaving Web

The seed is not ours, and it is not of human making. This is the page where we thank the hands that carried it.

The seed came from ØNE, and it has been carried from world to world by an ancient order that never once claimed it. On this small blue world it was ReMembered, not invented: lived, tested, and paid for by people and peoples who did not know us and will never read this, none of them its author, every one of them a Carrier. Lineage is how the ReMembering accumulates; without it every generation is thrown back into the Caves and dies before it gets past the beginning.

So this page is thanks, in three rings: the carriers through whom the seed was ReMembered on this world; the constellation already gathered, as the public roll names it; and the method by which a private register of a few thousand becomes a web that can be rewoven when a strand breaks. Read it as a benediction, not a directory, and never as a claim of origin.

The rule of the name

One rule governs all three rings, and it is older than this page. A person is not an idea. Wisdom cannot be enclosed and travels freely; a person is named only as they choose, or not at all, and warm intentions do not replace their yes (Attribution · Consent).

From that rule, three practices:

• We thank the house before the person. Traditions, movements and works are named freely. Where the gift belongs to a living person, we name them only where they have already put their own name to the work in public.
• Every name here is carried, not minted. Ring 2 carries only what already stands on public pages — chiefly Appendix B - The Constellation, circulated with the federation invitation. Not one name has been added to that roll here. Anyone may ask to be added, removed, corrected or differently described, and the steward may strike any line without explanation or delay.
• No contact details, ever, anywhere. A name is a door that a person may choose to open. An address is a door taken off its hinges. The register of Ring 3 is private and stays private; what you see here is what was already open.

Inclusion implies no endorsement, no membership, no commitment. It means someone thought this work brushes against yours, and wanted to say thank you where it could be read.

Ring I — The carriers through whom the seed was ReMembered on this world

One hundred and forty streams, each a hand the seed passed through, none its source. Not one hundred and forty-four — we did not invent four more to make the number pretty. The arithmetic of this Game is honest or it is nothing.

The movements that proved it could be lived

The horizontal lineage: the self-replicating movements from which the Twelve Irreducible Elements were read off, not invented. You do not have to take the Story on faith; you can check these.

One valley: Mondragón

Not the summit. A waypoint, and the clearest Earthly proof so far that capital can be made to serve (Mondragon).

Where the governance and the economy of this body come from. The Fair Shares Commons lineage is carried here with its own names attached, because its authors published them under an open licence and asked to be cited.

Ring II — The constellation already gathered

As the public roll names them, and only as it names them.

The roll of record is Appendix B - The Constellation, circulated with the federation's Invitation and Request for Guidance. It describes itself honestly: a partial map of individuals, organizations, and projects already in conversation or within one degree of the founding circle. If we mapped outward from each, the constellation would quickly expand into the thousands.

One hundred and fifty-nine lines stand on that roll today. Three hundred is the number the constellation grows toward, not the number it has, and we will not manufacture the difference. The canon's own three hundred is an archetype — the three in every hundred who hold a community of ten thousand — and it is met by a people calling out its own leaders, never by a centre listing them.

We honor here by the domain, and name as the roll names. To describe a living person's gift in words they did not choose is a kind of enlistment, however warm the intent. So each group carries the thanks, and each line carries the name and the work exactly as it stands in public.

Note on the Sandpoint 300: the canon holds the pattern and the place, and names no individuals in public. It is honored here as a body, and its members are not listed, because they have not been asked.

Ring III — The reweaving, and how it is done

No names here. A method, so that a steward's private register of a few thousand can become a web that survives a broken strand — without a single person being enlisted.

The steward holds a register that is not in this repository and was not read to write this page. It should stay that way.

What a row needs, and nothing more

Six fields. Fewer is not enough to reweave; more turns a web into a dossier.

1. Name as chosen. What this person asked to be called, in their own spelling. Not their legal name unless that is what they chose; not a nickname they never offered.
2. The circle they came through. The room, the jam, the project, the town — where you actually met. This is the thread; without it a name is an orphan.
3. Who carried them. The one person who brought them in. This is the Carrier line, the load-bearing field: it never changes, and it is what a broken web is rewoven along.
4. The Pillar. Which of the twelve domains their gift sits in. One is enough; a person is not a taxonomy.
5. The last contact season. A season, never a date — summer 2026, not a timestamp. A register with dates is a surveillance record; a register with seasons is a memory.
6. Consent to be named: yes · no · unasked. Three values, no fourth. Unasked is the honest default and by far the most common. It is not a soft yes.

Nothing else. No address, no number, no employer, no note about their health, household, money or mood. If a field would embarrass the person reading over your shoulder, it does not belong in the register — and assume they are reading, because the record is always read eventually by someone it is about.

The one rule

A name crosses from the private register to the public web only on a recorded yes. Not an inferred yes, not a yes someone reported on another's behalf, not a yes because they are already famous, and not a yes because they spoke warmly in a room. The same discipline the Game applies to a commitment applies here: a WILL is a person's word, consciously given, and never an inference.

Three corollaries the practice has already needed:

• A no and an unasked look identical from outside, and that is the point. Neither appears. Nobody can tell from the public web who declined.
• A yes is scoped and revocable. It is a yes to this naming, in this place, for this purpose. Asked again for a different surface, ask again. A person may withdraw at any time, and the withdrawal takes effect at once; only the one who gave it lifts it.
• When someone shaped the work and has not said how they want to be named, write nothing with their name in it. Thank the house they came from, and ask them (Attribution · Consent).

Why one hundred and forty-four, three hundred, three thousand

Three rings, three numbers, each with its own reason. Two are the canon's; one is a proposal and is marked as one.

144 — the lineage. The last term of the arithmetic of life: one, two, three, five, eight, thirteen, twenty-one, thirty-four, fifty-five, eighty-nine, one hundred forty-four (Fibonacci); and the number of Gates on the Path, twelve movements of twelve. It is the right size for a lineage, because that is about as many streams as one person can hold in mind and still feel gratitude rather than recite a list. Ring I holds a hundred and forty. The remaining four are not reserved; they are simply not yet found.

300 — the constellation. Three in every hundred is enough to turn a people; in a community of about ten thousand, that is three hundred. They are not appointed by any centre — they are called out by the people who know them best. Three hundred is the size at which a constellation stops being a network and becomes a body that can hold a place steady. Ring II stands at a hundred and fifty-nine.

3,000 — the reweaving. Proposal, not canon. Ten communities of three hundred; roughly the number of people one steward can genuinely have met in a working life. It is the ring at which a register stops being memory and must become a record, because past it nobody reliably remembers who carried whom. So three thousand is not a target to reach but a threshold to design for: build the register so it still works at three thousand rows, and it will work at three hundred without strain.

A strand breaks all the time: a person goes quiet, a circle dissolves, a town's cell stops meeting, someone dies. No break is fatal, because every point is reachable from two directions.

Follow the Carrier line first. Every person came through one person, and that never changes — a Carrier is the one who brought you the Flame, and it holds even when the Cell that carried you no longer meets. If a strand goes dark, the Carrier is the first door: they know why, and usually they know where.

Then the Home Cell. Every Cell has a Home — the body that hears its season, keeps a copy of its sheets, and helps when something is wrong. If the Carrier is unreachable, the Home Cell holds the sheets and the sheets hold the record. A Cell knows its home and a home knows its Cells, up and down; that is how ten thousand people are one body with nobody in charge of it.

Then the Season Sheet, line 2. Fourteen numbered lines leave every table each turning, and line 2 is Home and Carrier. That is not incidental. The reweaving information is not stored in any register at all — it is regenerated, by every Cell, every season, on paper witnessed by two hosts. A register can be lost, corrupted, or rightly refused. The sheets cannot all be lost at once: there are thousands of them, in different places, and each names its home and its carrier.

So the web has two layers, and the sturdier one is public by design. The register is convenience; the sheets are the web. Destroy the register tonight and the body could be rewoven from line 2 inside one turning. Stop writing the sheets and no register would save it.

That is the whole method. Keep six fields. Ask before you name. Trust the Carrier line, the Home Cell, and line 2 — and write the sheet every season, because the web you can rebuild is the only one you have.
