The Meta Crisis as Push, The Goal as Pull

Two forces move a person, not one: the collapse behind that makes staying impossible, and the vision ahead that makes moving worth it. Either alone goes wrong in a predictable way.

The Meta Crisis pushes. What is breaking — ecological, economic, political, spiritual — exerts steady pressure, and no one gets to stay comfortably where they are, because where they are is becoming uninhabitable. It is felt as urgency, and sometimes as dread. Many wake up this way.

The Goal pulls. Heaven On Earth, the life a person actually came for, exerts its own draw. It is felt as recognition and as joy. Many wake up this way instead.

Both are needed, and the failure modes of each alone are specific enough to check yourself against. Push without pull produces the bunker and the barricade: survivalist withdrawal, the search for a safe enemy to blame, despair dressed as realism, and motion with no destination (Fear, Root Causes). Pull without push produces the beautiful evasion: the collapse waved away because the vision is lovely, castles drawn while the storm runs, private practice while the shared world burns, inspiration that never becomes a commitment (Spiraling Up · Spiraling Down, Do the Work).

So the two registers of the Story are not rivals. The Great UnVeiling is the push told honestly and The Sacred Ascent is the pull told honestly, and a body that carries only one of them will drift toward that one's failure. This is also the practical test for how a thing is being said: a telling that leaves its hearers frightened and without a direction has given push alone; a telling that leaves them warm and without urgency has given pull alone. Good telling leaves a person both unable to stay and able to move (Storytelling, The Invitation, Speaking Truth In Love).

The old burns. The new beckons. We move.
