The Seven-Field Emotion Page Pattern

The shape every feeling's page grows into: Felt Sense · What It Signals · Its Gradient · Its Gift · Its Distortion · The Move · Related.

Felt Sense — the vibration as the body knows it, before it is named. Written in the body's language rather than in the concept's, because a reader has to be able to recognise the thing from inside.

What It Signals — the reading it is reporting: what this feeling says is precious, threatened, opening, or lost (Emotions Are Information, Gradients, And Never Enemies).

Its Gradient — its neighbours and intensities on the continuum. This field is what stops the page becoming a box: it says what lies either side, so a reader can locate themselves on a band rather than choosing a label (The Living Gradient).

Its Gift — the specific information it exists to bring. Every feeling has one; a page that cannot state it has not understood the feeling.

Its Distortion — what it becomes when refused, frozen, or enthroned. The pairing of gift with distortion in one page is the instrument's cleverest part: it makes it impossible to write a feeling as simply good or bad (Distortion).

The Move — the practice that restores flow for this particular band (Feel → Allow → Read → Name → Ask → Move → Release).

Related — the neighbours by kinship rather than by intensity.

Why a shape rather than free prose: because roughly a hundred of these pages exist or are wanted, and a spectrum is only navigable if every entry answers the same questions in the same order. A reader comparing dread to foreboding needs the fields to line up (The same card shape, Naming Forms, One canonical home per concept).

It is load-bearing for a body of work most of which does not yet hold it: the canon names around a hundred and ten bands, three of which exist as worked exemplars (Fear, Joy, Grief) and the rest of which are names waiting for this shape.
