Word Tools
Every name is a tool that points toward something real, never the thing itself. Many traditions honed different tools for the same Reality; none of them is the Reality.
The practice began as a defence. In the old world the most important words a people had were the first to be taken and worn hollow, until a word meant to be a bridge became a trigger — so that the things that most needed saying became the hardest to say. Holding a word as a tool puts deliberate space between the name and what it points at, and in that space genuine speech becomes possible again.
The working rule: one working name per wisdom; the others honored as aliases. When two names point at the same thing, one is chosen for use and the rest are kept and linked, so nobody's tradition is erased and nobody has to argue about spelling to be understood. When two similar names point at genuinely distinct wisdoms, both are kept, and the distinction is written down. Sachchidananda, Logos, and Creator's Intent are three faces of ØNE that three tongues made precise; none is the truth, and each points well from where its tradition stood.
The names are scaffolding. They fall away when the Reality is met directly. This is why the canon keeps a word for the limit of words (The Ineffable) and a page for why every definition is a fingerpost (Essences, Renderings, And Ineffable Referents) — and why it can say of its own vocabulary that the word that can be named is not the thing.
At the table this becomes simple: when two of us use a word we mean the same thing, and when we find we do not, we say so, and we fix the word rather than each other. Word Tools is what makes The Twelve Words a floor instead of a fence — the words come at the pace the road needs them, and there is no fixed number of them.
