Welcome to LIØNSBERG
The second text of the threshold: the moment the world snaps awake around a new arrival, and the deeper invitation is made.
If The Gates of LIØNSBERG is the door, this is the first room. Its work is orientation rather than instruction: what this is, what it is not, what is being offered, what is being asked, and what happens next. It is where a person first meets the claim that Spirit Precedes Pattern — that where the Spirit is right the wise right pattern emerges, and where it is absent no pattern saves — and the invitation to use their own discernment on everything that follows. Test what is offered. If something is lacking, fill it up. If something does not belong, remove it.
It is load-bearing because the threshold has exactly one welcome, and a welcome does a different job from a summary. It says who is speaking and in what register, it names the lineages the work stands on so nothing appears from nowhere, and it makes the ask plainly before anyone has agreed to anything. A person is greeted before they are given anything; that is the office of the Guide, and this page is where it is performed in writing.
It also carries the honest framing of the moment — that the old is collapsing, that the new is not yet built, that the hour is short and nobody is coming to do it for us — without the pressure that would make the framing a lever. The distinction matters: urgency stated is orientation, urgency applied is manipulation, and consent under pressure is not consent.
In the walking it is the second stage of The 12 Stages of the Sovereign's Path, where a person stands between worlds and chooses yes or no. After the welcome, the world is entered and the books open in the order the walking asks for — the Story at orientation, the Game at the decision, the rest as the road needs them.
