The Grid's Geometry And Its Gaps

Nodes hold places; overlapping nodes make a lattice; where few overlap, the lattice is thin — and much of the work is deliberately filling the thin places.

The picture is simple. A body in a place holds a field around itself. Where two such fields overlap, there is an edge; where many overlap, the weave is dense; where few do, there are gaps. The strength anywhere is the sum of what reaches that point from everything within range (Islands, Hubs, Grid, Islands of Coherence, Planetary Light Grid).

Gap-filling is the separable and usable claim. If the lattice is thin where nobody is, then a real part of building it is going where nobody is: people and bodies deliberately settling in or visiting thin places; gatherings held at chosen locations rather than convenient ones; new centres planted by where they are needed rather than by where the volunteers already live (The Hub, The Joseph Plan, Migration).

That inverts the ordinary logic of growth. Most movements densify where they are already strong, because that is where the response is. This says the marginal value is highest where there is currently nothing — which is a strategy claim, checkable in ordinary terms, and does not depend on any account of what a field is (Tipping Point Strategy, The First Few, Fibonacci Spread).

The canon adds that certain places carry higher inherent strength — old sacred sites, places many traditions have recognised as anchors — and that presence at those places contributes more per unit of effort. Read plainly: places with long histories of gathering are easier to gather at, and a body that ignores the places its neighbours already hold sacred is spending effort it need not spend (Sacred spaces, Earth).

What cannot be carried is the measurement. The chapter describes node fields extending in "measurable patterns," a lattice whose overall strength can be assessed, and readers who can assess it — with no unit, no instrument, and no procedure, and with the reading available only to those who have cultivated the sensing. A measure only the qualified can take and none can check is not a measure. The gap-filling work programme stands without it.
