Centers of Distribution

A person, Cell, or community through which resources flow outward — the living opposite of a centre of accumulation, where standing is measured by what flows through and blesses rather than by what flows in and stays.

The old arrangement organizes value around gathering: whoever can, gathers; whoever gathers most, rules. Left to itself and without reciprocity built into the culture, the strongest tenth sweeps up what there is and uses it to hold everyone else down. The inversion is not a tax or a charity bolted on afterwards. It is a change in what confers standing — and therefore in what people reach for.

The shift is available at any scale, and it is always the same shift: cover what is genuinely needed, then move the rest toward the work that most needs it. A person covers their real needs and directs the excess to the Quests and neighbours they discern most need it, turning stagnation and Waste into provision. A fellow receives their share of the common flows, sustains their own work, and distributes the remainder to the Quests they judge worthy — so that how resources move through the whole becomes the combined discernment of everyone, not the decree of any centre. A Cell or community forges its own Commons, receives with open books, and distributes on a rhythm that never lets wealth pool into either a target or a temptation (The anti-pooling law).

Held this way, distribution is the circulation of the body rather than an act of virtue attached to it — the way a living whole feeds all of its parts, the way abundance is kept liquid instead of frozen, and the way power is prevented from condensing into a few hands again (Flow, Fostering Ecosystemic Resource Flows). The practical test is not how much a person gives away. It is whether anything is accumulating quietly where nobody can see it.
