Each Being Is a Sovereign Healer

Healing is not delegated to a profession. Every being holds the first authority over their own return to wholeness, and is capable of participating in it.

The claim is not that expertise is unnecessary. It is that the ordinary arrangement inverts the order of authority: a person becomes a case, the knowledge of their own body is treated as anecdote, and the decision about what happens to them moves to whoever holds the credential. What this reverses is the first authority. The one living in the body is the one in whose hands the return to wholeness rests; everyone else — healer, guild, community — assists.

It follows from what healing is taken to be here. Healing is a return to wholeness rather than the suppression of a symptom, and wholeness is multidimensional — spiritual, mental, emotional, physical, relational, ecological, energetic. Nobody outside a person has access to most of those dimensions. A practitioner can read a field, set a bone, name a pattern; only the person can do the returning.

Two things follow that give the claim teeth. Capacity, not merely consent. Sovereignty over one's healing is hollow if no one is ever taught anything; the claim commits a body to teaching real practice — the daily disciplines, the tending of what is eaten, rest, breath, the cultivation of the embodied instrument — rather than reserving knowledge to a class of experts. And the healer's office is reframed. In the same set of theses the healer is a servant of the Logos, not a controller of outcomes — a midwife of wholeness. Midwifery is precisely the posture that assists a sovereign process without owning it.

The guard against the obvious failure is the same one the corpus applies everywhere: sovereignty is not isolation. A being who is the first authority over their own healing is still held in a body that can carry them, and is still free to ask.
