FSx
The structural-legal-economic part of the kit: a fractal sovereign legal person, with agency independent of its members, that cannot be owned, bought, or cashed out. The form is settled; the vehicle is open.
FSx is an evolution of the FairShares Commons lineage. Its founding insight is structural rather than moral: the ownership structure of an organization is the deepest attractor in the system. However good its leaders, a conventionally structured company is driven by its share structure toward extraction — so you cannot fix the outputs without changing the structural DNA.
Its named features are seven: a fractal sovereign legal person with agency independent of its members; multi-stakeholder constituencies; six-capital accounting; integrative decision-making; asset and purpose locks; reciprocal federation; and a duty of contribution to the knowledge commons. The FairShares Commons architecture beneath it issues distinct share classes to founders, workers, investors, and the community, so that no single stakeholder class can dominate and decisions require cross-constituency legitimacy — with investor rights capped, purpose embedded in the governance architecture rather than in a mission statement, asset locks preventing accumulated value from being privatized, and influence rebalancing over time from founders toward workers and community.
It is load-bearing because everything else in this Pillar can be honoured inside a vehicle that will eventually betray it. Culture does not replicate reliably; structure does. FSx is where Capital Subordinate To Purpose, Constitutional Protection Of Purpose, and Commons become enforceable in the old world's own terms.
In play, nothing here is needed in a first season. The tiers begin at Tier 0 — no formal structure — where most transformational work happens and many bodies thrive indefinitely. A Cell reaches for FSx when it has an enterprise, capital, or assets to protect.
