Knowledge as commons
What is learned is shared: a solution discovered once, anywhere, becomes available everywhere.
No one can enclose wisdom or truth. So what a body learns joins the commons, and the loop is explicit: solve and document, push it up, curate, pull it down, localize, feed back what the localization taught. A Cell that solves a hard thing and keeps it has not gained an advantage; it has made every other Cell solve it again, and the cost of that lands on the whole.
Sharing does not mean anyone is alienated from what they made. Credit travels with the work, each person is named only as they choose or not at all, and a maker keeps their rights in what they wrote. The gift stays a gift downstream: what is built on freely given work is given as freely, so the commons cannot be quietly fenced by whoever improves it last.
The duty runs in both directions and is written into the legal form itself. A body constituted the LIØNSBERG way carries a duty of contribution to the knowledge commons, and a purpose lock that keeps what it holds from being sold out from under the people who built it. The commons is resourced the same way everything else is: by a tenth flowing inward from each table, at every scale, rather than by a centre that collects.
And the honest half: pushing up is work. A solution that is used but never written down has not reached the commons, and a body that means this has to give the writing a place in its week.
