The Living-Learning Architecture

Four faces of one process by which a body learns: a shared map, an intelligence cycle that refines it, a discipline that holds every articulation loosely, and a library where what has been refined lives.

The map. The shared, intersubjective current best understanding of what is — illuminated progressively by every person's own journey and contribution. It grows with the number of vantages looking, and at each stage the enlarged lens shows what none at the previous stage could have seen (The Lens, Progressive Illumination, Sensemaking).

The intelligence cycle. How the map is refined, running at every scale: perceive → weave what was perceived with others → hold it across scales → update the map (Perception, MindWeaving, OmniSpection, Levels Of Scale).

The discipline. What governs the whole: every articulation held as one current best version, ready to be refined the moment something better is discerned, never locked (Current Best Understanding, The Foundational Truth, Navigating Towards Truth, Every Defect Is A Gift).

The library. Where refined articulations live — folded back from practice, drawn from in practice, improved continuously rather than published once (The Living Library, Foundational Literature, Improvement log).

They move as one loop and the order matters: a person perceives, the body weaves, the seeing is held across scales, the map is updated, the library captures the refinement — and the enlarged map makes the next perception possible (Retrospective, Tightly Coupled Learning and Action, Continuous Improvement).

What it is for is the failure it prevents. Most bodies do one of the four. A body with a library and no cycle accumulates documents nobody reads. A body with a cycle and no library learns the same thing every year. A body with both and no discipline hardens its map into doctrine. A body with all three and no shared map has many people learning separately (Communication Debt, Idolatry (of the word and of the doctrine), Knowledge as commons).
