System
A set of interrelated elements organized for a purpose, expressing structure, function, and flow.
A system is not a pile of parts; it is parts plus the relations between them plus what they are for. Change a relation and the behaviour changes even if every part stays the same. This is why blaming a part rarely fixes anything, and why Zero Blame Environment is not sentiment but accuracy: when something goes wrong the cause is usually in the set-up, not in the person standing nearest the failure.
Seeing this way is load-bearing because the universe is one interexistent whole, and thinking that carves it into silos produces solutions that move harm rather than reduce it. Systems thinking looks for relationships, feedback, and root causes rather than symptoms, and asks what a change here does over there. It is also the reason nothing in this field is optimized alone: you cannot optimize the pieces and expect the whole to work.
In the System proper, the System names something specific — the body of structure, plans, and specifications purpose-built to produce Throughput of The Goal, working as a System of Systems through a shared Pattern language and a small set of shared standards so that sovereign parts can exchange resources, knowledge, and infrastructure without merging.
A Cell is a system in exactly this sense: a few people, the relations between them, and one Quest. Its structure is visible on its cards, its flow is the weekly gathering, The Turn, and its function is real work that makes some place a little more like Heaven. When a Cell cannot move, the useful question is almost never who failed — it is what in the arrangement made this the likely outcome.
