Temple
The sacred vessel of Spirit at whatever scale it is met — a body, a room, a planet, a cosmos — treated as a dwelling rather than a machine.
The word does not name a building. It names the relationship: wherever Spirit indwells matter, that matter is a vessel and is treated accordingly. The individual temple is the body. The communal temple is the space a Circle gathers in. The planetary temple is Earth. The cosmic temple is Creation entire. One posture runs through all four scales, and it is the posture of Reverence.
It is load-bearing because it settles an argument before the argument starts. The old ordering reduced the body to a machine to be repaired, regulated, and worked — and once that is granted, extraction from a person and extraction from a watershed follow by the same logic. Naming the body a temple denies the premise at its root. What is revered is protected without being asked; what is owned is spent. Healing, Nutrition, Rest And Regeneration, and Sleeping all follow from which of the two the body is taken to be.
In play the word is used as a test rather than a decoration. Would this be done to a temple? Would this food, this schedule, this silence, this building, this chemical, this hour be offered to a dwelling of Spirit? A Cell that meets weekly can ask it of its own room; a person can ask it of their own week; a Community can ask it of the land it sits on. In the fully realized form the canon reaches for, hospitals become sanctuaries, clinics become communities, and every home is a place of care.
