Apparent Individuation

The seeming separateness of each of the All from the ØNE — real as experience, provisional as metaphysics.

You are an individual. You have a body with edges, a life nobody else is living, a perspective no one else occupies, and a death that will be yours. None of that is an illusion in the ordinary sense; it is precisely and vividly the case. The word doing the work is apparent — as in appearing, how things show up from here — rather than false (Identity, Incarnation, Embodiment).

What it holds open is that the separateness is a condition of a particular vantage rather than the final fact about what anything is. Each is one of the ones of the ØNE: distinct, not detached; a wave that is genuinely this wave and is not a separate substance from the sea (One of the Ones of the ØNE, ØNE, All, InterExistence).

It is load-bearing because it is the hinge between the metaphysics and everything practical. If separation were final, cooperation would be a negotiation between rival interests and love would be a preference. If separation were nothing at all, sovereignty and consent would be empty and a person's own word would not matter. Holding it as apparent keeps both: each being is really sovereign, really free, really answerable — and none of them is finally separate from any other (Sovereignty, Consent, The Logic Of Love, Holding Paradox).

It is why the return is described as a remembering rather than an acquisition. Nothing is added at the end; something is recognised that was the case the whole time (The Great ReMembering, Coming Home, The Veil of Finitude and Forgetting, The True Self).

And it carries a warning. Held carelessly it becomes a reason to override a person for their own good, since we are all one anyway. The canon's guard is emphatic and structural: no unity may be used to violate a free will (Free Will, Primacy Of Consent, Dignity).
