Wise Right

The canon's own compound adjective. It marks the thing that is both wise and right in this situation — and it exists because a list of values, however good, cannot be that.

The canon reaches it by a specific road. After years of articulating core values in many organizations, what came out was not a longer list but one principle: do the wise right thing, at the right time, for the right reasons, to progress toward the Goal. The point of that single line is stated plainly — it guides action within a shared aim without letting any one articulated, and therefore inherently limited, set of values distort behaviour (Values · Principles · The Goal).

That is what the compound is for. Right alone invites rule-following: correct by some standard, regardless of whether it helps. Wise alone invites cleverness: effective, insightful, and possibly a betrayal. Welded together they name the act that is both — fitted to the totality of this context, and answerable to the aim (Righteousness · Wisdom · Discernment · Spontaneous Wise Right Action).

The four qualifiers are not decoration. At the right time — timing is part of rightness, and the same act early or late is a different act (Kairos · Just in time). For the right reasons — motive is inside the act, not beside it (Means · Integrity). And the aim clause keeps it from floating free of anything checkable (Throughput · The compass question).

As a convention, it travels. The canon compounds it onto whatever needs the same standard — wise right speech, wise right discernment, wise right thing, wise right people, wise right reasons, wise right time — and in each case it is doing the same work: replacing a rule with a judgment held to a standard (Wise Right Speech · Wise Eldership · Word Tools · Naming Forms).

Its cost should be said. A phrase that cannot be checked from outside can excuse anything, and it was the wise right thing is available to anyone.
