Values
The guardrails that keep a body from being swept off course — one nested holarchy of goods, unified by a single highest value.
Values are what a community holds as good, and therefore what selects among its options when more than one is possible. They work as boundaries rather than instructions: they rarely tell you what to do, and they reliably tell you what not to do on the way.
The structure matters as much as the list. The values here are ordered into a total nested holarchy, cohered at the top by one Meta value, which is ØNE — and whose Spirit, named across many traditions, is unconditional Love. Keeping the highest value at the level of the absolute is deliberate: it lets each community articulate the values that flow from it in their own language and time without anyone owning the definition. The shortest working set is Truth · Love · Justice · Stewardship · Wisdom, and beneath them the one that makes the Game possible at all: a word given is a word kept, or a gap learned from, without blame.
Values are load-bearing because shared values are the precondition of cooperation between sovereigns. Where no ruler commands, what people can expect of one another is exactly what they have agreed to value; that is why the Field of Agreements is read at the door and why anti-values are named as plainly as values. Values also redefine Value itself: what counts as worth producing follows from what a people holds good.
They are universal in the sense that they are found written on hearts and in the sacred traditions around the world — a golden thread that, followed anywhere, leads back to life and its source. Power, leadership, and resources are deliberately not on the list: here they are neutral capacities to be developed as needed in service of Throughput of The Goal, never goods in themselves.
