Reality

The totality of what is, seen and unseen, structured by Logos — what Truth corresponds to.

Reality is the referent that makes truth-talk possible. The canon defines Truth as that which actually corresponds with Reality and aligns with the will and nature of ØNE, and adds the discipline that matters more than the definition: truth is navigated towards rather than possessed or attained. Reality is therefore not something a page can contain; it is the standing correction against which every page is measured.

Everything epistemic in the Field hangs on this. Current Best Understanding is a status claim about the gap between our models and Reality. Current Best Articulation names a second gap, between what we understand and the words we have. Essences, Renderings, And Ineffable Referents holds both gaps open on purpose. Navigating Towards Truth is the practice. Without Reality as an independent referent, "current best understanding" collapses into "whatever we currently prefer," and the whole self-correcting machinery of the system — Every Defect Is A Gift, Retrospective, OmniSpection, the defect log — loses the thing it corrects toward.

The canon's working posture is intersubjective rather than private: no single mind holds the highest perspective, so a shared map of Reality is arrived at by weaving sovereign perspectives into a continuously corrected common understanding. Sensemaking at the weekly table is that practice at its smallest scale — a few honest lines about where the Cell actually is, taken the way sailors take a reading rather than the way an office writes a report.

Reality also carries a warning in this Field: it does not have edges, it has gradients. The habit of freezing living process into fixed things and sorting them into hard categories is named as one of the deepest traps in thought, and The Living Gradient is the correction.
