The Great Game
All of us, together, exiting the Caves, crossing the Wilderness, and making every place we touch a little more like Heaven.
The Game is the playable form of the whole. The Goal is what it is for; The Story is the world it is played in; the Pattern is how it is built; the Game is what you actually do on a Tuesday evening with four other people and a notebook. Everything else in the field is a matter of how.
Calling it a Game is not a softening. A game is the one human form that combines a real aim, agreed rules, voluntary entry, visible score, and joy in the playing — and that can be joined by a child, a village, or a civilization without anyone being conscripted. Nobody is governed who has not agreed; silence is never a yes; anyone may leave in peace at any time. The Game is a free gift, spread by attraction rather than promotion, carried hand to hand at the pace of trust.
Without this container the rest stays literature. The Pattern needs somewhere to be run; commitments need a table to be spoken at; Story needs a season to be a story of. The Game supplies the minimum: form a Cell, choose a Quest, say what you will do and learn from the gap, tell what happened, and carry the flame to two or three who are ready. Those five moves at the table open into the deeper seven-move breath — form, weave coherence, choose, do the work, celebrate and improve, share, and Pass The Flame — run daily, weekly, seasonally, and across lifetimes.
The Game is horizontal; the Path is vertical. Outer change without inner change replicates the old patterns in new clothes, so the two are run together. And the winning is not waiting at the end: every kept word, every fed neighbour, every child who learns the world can be trusted is a move already won.

Open: The corpus carries both a five-move sequence at the table and a seven-move breath of a Cell; the seed treats the five as the table form of the seven, but the two lists are numbered differently in different books, and a reader meeting only one will miscount the moves.
