The Record
Say what you will do; record what you did; learn from the gap. One line per commitment, every week.
The Record is the memory of a body's word. Each week it gains one line for each Commitment: what was said, whether it was kept, the gap, and what was learned. Beside it the Cell keeps what was decided and why, so that nothing is re-litigated by accident, and every defect the day it happens, closed only when its fix sits where future work will meet it.
It is load-bearing because what is owed should be computed from the record, never remembered. A body that remembers its obligations forgets them selectively and in its own favour. From the Record come Kept as a share of made and the rest of The Score; from the Record comes the honest account that becomes a Story; and from the Record comes the ability of a home to help, because it can see what a Cell actually promised before it can see what went wrong.
How it is kept. In plain text or on paper that anyone in the Cell can read and correct — a notebook is enough, and a notebook is the floor everything else stands on. A Keeper holds it between gatherings. Nothing in it is secret from the table. From every call and gathering, a record of what was said, decided, and promised. Decision Records carry what was decided, why, what the alternatives were, and what would change it. The defect log carries every miss. The Record is not a performance review: the gap is the primary source of learning, and a body that punishes the gap is told fewer of them and knows less about itself.
