The Practice Cadence
Four rhythms that produce mastery: daily without exception · two to three sessions a week with the Circle and the Elder · seasonal intensives · an annual review.
Daily, without exception. At minimum the seven-minute dawn stillness, and the body, breath, mind, and inner disciplines walked every day (The Daily Way, The Coherent Divine Intention Wave). The canon states the failure mode rather than scolding: skipped days accumulate into stalled progression, and a person who cannot hold a daily practice cannot hold the standing that practice supports.
Two to three sessions a week, with the Circle and the Elder. Partnered work, practice, correction, witnessing one another's progress. This is where capacities settle into the body and where transmission actually flows. Without the weekly sessions, the canon says flatly, the practice does not mature (Circle, Wise Eldership, Apprenticeship).
Seasonal intensives. Deeper immersion at the solstices and equinoxes, a longer retreat once a year, and one at each threshold of advancement (Season, The LIØNSBERG Calendar, Rites of Passage).
Annual review. The person, the Circle, and the Elder together look back over the year's progression and discern the timing of the next threshold (OmniSpection, Retrospective, Look-back).
The instrument's real claim is the causal one, and it is worth stating in the canon's order: the cadence produces the standing; the recognition merely acknowledges that the cadence was held. Someone who walks it faithfully arrives; someone who cannot sustain it does not arrive at all. That is what makes this page an answer to the most common question about any long formation — how long does it take — with the only honest answer: it takes as long as the rhythm takes, and the rhythm is the thing being asked for.
It generalises past its origin. Any craft that means to produce mastery rather than enthusiasm needs the same four tempos: something every day, something with others every week, something deeper every season, and an honest look once a year (Mastery, Discipline, Continuous Improvement).

Open: The cadence is stated for a person with the time to hold it and says nothing about those whose circumstances do not permit two to three evenings a week — a live question for a Way that means to be walkable by anyone.
