Gaps Not Yet Closed
The visible edge of where the Language is still becoming. Naming the edge is part of the topology, not an apology for it.
The canon names its own significant absences. Sexuality, eros, and intimate union. Children, childhood, and the formation of new sovereigns. Initiation and threshold rites across the whole arc from infancy to elderhood. Madness, breakdown, and the states that wisdom traditions hold as initiation and the old world pathologizes. Sacred substance and plant medicine. Music, dance, and theatre. Sacred objects and material culture. Migration, refuge, and the stranger — named with the note that as the old world collapses, millions will move. The wisdom of the different: disability, limitation, and what does not fit any standard. Technology assessment and sovereignty.
And the partial gaps, surfaced but not deeply patterned: dream and visionary knowing, solitude and contemplative retreat, relationship with the mineral, plant, fungal, microbial, elemental, ancestor, and unborn kingdoms, sacred architecture and the patterns of place, birth and dying and hospicing, mental health and addiction, justice and containment, and the Language's own self-maintenance.
Two things follow. A reader can tell, honestly, what this Way has and has not worked out — which is the difference between a living corpus and a claim of completeness. And a builder knows where the next work is: whoever regrows a missing instrument does so by the Pattern and writes down what they built, so the next community need not begin again.
The list is uneven in a way worth seeing. The inner way of one Archetype is written in detail while birth, death, children, and the care of the vulnerable are named and empty — which is a description of what has been attended to so far rather than of what matters.
